After failing miserably with gyms and other forms of routine exercise I decided to go back to something I used to love as a teenager…running. The initial attempts at a mile jog proved how unfit I have become; ok, I managed it, but it felt like my legs were going to fall off. Then a friend mentioned and their “Couch to 5K” running plan. Now at the start of week 2 and following a structured i.e. don’t do too much too quickly plan seems to be paying off. The plan is to be running 5K in 9 weeks…we’ll see !
